ESTC Winter 2009 Dota Allstars 15-18 Oct!!

E-Sports Thailand Championship 2009 is an international gaming competition held by Future Gamer Co.Ltd. and Gsquare Channel of True Vision Co.Ltd. The objective of the competition is to raise the level of “Gaming” of Thai gamers to the level of “International E-Sport” status by providing an international standard venue for talented gamers to show their skills. The competition will provide an opportunity for the general public to get to know and understand that “Gaming” can become a serious “Sport”. The competition will help instill discipline, planning, teamwork and sportsmanship in the competitors. Apart from having fun, gamers will return to their region to raise the level of Thai gaming culture. The Government and Private sector will come to understand the importance of E-Sport as more than just “playing game”.

For those who remember, Kingsurf won this event 1 year ago with then new recruit "iceiceice" playing a crucial part in their final match win over Indonesia's Xcn.

This time around, the organisers of ESTC has made it a bigger event. Under the motto of “More Than Game,It’s Sport” the organisers successfully invited more powerhouse teams from across their shores to grace the event. Below is the summary of the Malaysian teams and teams with Malaysians in it for everyone to root for.

Listed are the Malaysian teams and the Malaysian players in mixed foreign teams that are participating:

1. Kingsurf : Xiaogui, Yamateh, Sakura, Chuan, Ice

The defending champions head to Thailand once again to defend their title. This time, without iceiceice can they maintain their superb form that won them the title last time around? We shall find out.
